LRG-4-606, and a gravitational lens of an even more distant galaxy. LRG is the acronym given to a catalog of Luminous Red Galaxies found in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). These are mostly really massive elliptical galaxies full of huge numbers of old stars. [4000 x 3392] (Image:NASA/Hubble) via /r/spaceporn https://ift.tt/3nxdiUx
